Friday and it’s Scottsdale.

By Norm Seeley | July 2, 2010

I have to be honest, I don’t think about a sensa scam very often.  In fact, not at all.

Lately I have been thinking about things for the house especially in the kitchen since it’s been torn up for over a month, and it looks like it will stay that way for at least another month.  Never realized how much or life center around our kitchen until now.

I have also been thinking about a new van.  Just have….don’t have the money, but it’s fun to think how we’d look in a Brand New RED van.

Yes, I have also been thinking about buying amateur radios, so that I can get back on the air.  Have a license but have not had any radios for several years and have been feeling the urge.

One of these days.

Could my wife be Right?

By Norm Seeley | July 2, 2010

My wife tells me that I look so much younger than my almost 67 years every time I have a haircut.  I even had someone yesterday, a hair stylist, tell me that my hair looked great.  (Didn’t say anything about the rest of me  however.)

I haven asked my wife if I should thing about having some best wrinkle treatments .   She will tell you, that it’s all she can do to get me to have a hair cut.   I’m sure she might think that adding something more for me to do, would push my limits.

A hair cut, once a month, works for me.

Holding my Own

By Norm Seeley | July 2, 2010

As I have told you in previous posts, my weight sometimes goes up and down like a Yo Yo.

There have been times when I have felt like I need to try a 7 day fat burner extreme , to control my weight.

In the past two weeks, with the fact that our kitchen is torn up, and there is no room to prepare anything, I feel and see that my weight is holding steady.  That’s a good thing in my book, but then again, being without a usable kitchen is not fun.  Makes putting meals together for my wife, a little difficult.

Then again, I have no problem with eating out.  That’s fun and most of the time, the food ain’t so bad.   Better than my cooking.

Insurance on my mind.

By Norm Seeley | July 2, 2010

With the leak in our Kitchen, and the fact that we have home owners insurance has had me thinking about going to carinsurancelist.com

I guess it’s because I realize it’s best to have coverage in case something does happen.  A leak in the wall behind the kitchen sink is one thing, really we never really thought much about it happening.  But out on the Arizona streets and Highways, I have more concerns.

I consider myself a “good” driver.  Not “great” driver, but I keep my eyes looking out for the other guy. I don’t think there is a day that goes by, when I go out in our van, that I don’t see other drivers making moves that had I not been watching, we would have been hit.

Seems like they consider that they are the only one on the road or that other vehicles will know what they are going to do, and stay clear.   I have noticed also that the worst of the lot, as far as drivers are concerned is based on the kind of vehicle they are driving.  The more expensive, the more “it’s my roadway, thoughts I see.   That’s not saying that those with inexpensive cars are not bad drivers.  But those with BMW’s, and Cadillacs take the cake.

Dreams as a KID !

By Norm Seeley | July 2, 2010

As a kid, I always had dreams of having a cash register.  It must have been passed on in my DNA, as my daughter also had the same dream and she had one.

These days, you would look at  POS Systems , not just a cash register.

If my memory serves me correctly today, when I had the Wheelchair Van Rental company, I could enter payments for rentals from the field, and I think that was using just a cell phone.  I do remember it was easy, and by the time I got home from delivering a Wheelchair Van to Sky Harbor Airport the payment was all ready showing up in the business account.

I love the Internet.

Come a long way.

By Norm Seeley | June 29, 2010

The house I lived in up in Denver, was built in 1911.

In the almost 30 years my family was in that house, it was remodeled, up graded several times.  The basement was paneled giving us a “Family Room”.  A bathroom was added on the second floor.  And I could go on and on with at least a dozen different  projects.

I remember once when the walls of the house were torn apart, pipes were found that carried gas for gas lighting.  While they had been removed before we moved in during the early 40s,  even to this day, I find that interesting.

There are so many ways to improve how one lives.  While I guess gas lighting worked, electric lighting was and is safer.  One’s health is all important.

Maybe one of these days, they’ll come out with an electric cigarette .

15 to 20 Days…Maybe!

By Norm Seeley | June 29, 2010

Our Kitchen is still torn up.

While the oven and stove still function, and our

microwave, although not in the same place still works, we have no counter space

or work area what so ever.  And to top it off, the dishwasher is unhooked.

While Karen’s Mom and Dad visited several months ago, we borrowed a friends camping

trailer and parked it in our driveway.

I have thought, since we have no kitchen,  I need to get an RV and park it in the

driveway, that way I would have a kitchen that I could use.  It better have a

dishwasher.   If i did that it would be important to get an rv insurance quote .

Knowing our luck, the 60 Plus foot Pine tree in our front yard would fall and land

on the RV.  Leaving us again with no kitchen.
