KRUX Alum
By Norm Seeley | September 5, 2010
Last Saturday, I attended the KRUX Reunion here in Scottsdale and got home to find a comment from Jack Sellmeyrer who was the CE of KRUX when I was there in 1965.
Jack left his phone number and I had a nice but short conversation with him, but Jack didn’t tell me of the NAB award he just one this year up in Las Vegas.
What impressed me about Jack and his work, especially at KRUX, as a DJ, I found that the way he set up the studio and transmitter controls, it was easy to concentrate on being a Jock, not being an technical engineer.
We could push a single button in the Control Room, News Room, or Production Room and it was directly on the air. And control of the transmitter was equally as easy.
Congratulations Jack, I for one felt you deserved it long ago.
