Today was the day for our New Floor.

Above you are looking at what the floor in our kitchen looks like. A new vinyl floor was to be installed this morning, however when the vinyl was laid out on our driveway, we discovered that it was not what we had ordered. So, several calls where made, and it was determined that the maker of the flooring had sent the wrong batch. Now we get to wait until August 17th.
I just hope I won’t mess up the flooring (base concrete) they left in our kitchen.
This is the first time in our house that anything major has had to be fixed, a leak in the pipes caused damage to the kitchen cabinets and the floor, and what was installed and built here in the house close to 50 years ago had to be replaced. Giving us time to think about all sorts of improvements.
I noticed that our locks, that have been here since the house was built are Schlage locks , and they are working like the first day they were installed. I don’t have to think about replacing them, but if I did have to install new or additional locks, I know where I would go.
