Water Leak.
By Norm Seeley | May 29, 2010
Yesterday afternoon about 3 PM, Karen started down the hall in our house only to find water all over the floor coming from the door behind which was our Hot Water Heater.
We immediately called the company that installed it a couple years ago, luckily for us it was still under warranty. So they said they would have a plumber there in just a little while.
I won’t bore you with all that happened next, other than to tell you after making the call, I….the amateur plumber that I am, figured out, or at least felt that it might not be the Hot Water heater, but something else.
Shortly after 4 PM, the plumber arrived and within about 10 minutes he had determined it wasn’t the Hot Water heater, but the drain pipe in the wall behind the Kitchen sink and dishwasher. He suggested a company who specializes in determine just what is leaking and where.
They came out, and our Kitchen is now blocked off from the rest of our house. Here’s a picture from the hall that leads from our bedroom.

Now from the Dinning Room here’s the view into the Kitchen….so to speak .
The picture above shows the only way into our kitchen now. In the kitchen itself, there are two large fans that are there to dry out the wet wall. They have heaters and humidifiers in them. It’s warm in there to say the least.

This is a shot of our Kitchen for the next few days. Later today we’ll purchase some paper plates and plastic utensils and some quick and waterless food to have on had. We can’t use the Kitchen Sink, the Dishwasher, or the Washing Machine.
Watch as our water bill goes down this weekend.

No heaters, just a dehumidifier and an air scrubber with a hepa filter. Both are very noisy.
