Trying to be a good American.
By Norm Seeley | January 28, 2010
First of all, I’m a Republican. Have been all my adult life. In the past, no matter who the President, I was not one to watch the State Of The Union speeches. There is something about watching a room full of grown men and women cheering at lie after lie. I guess it’s called patting one’s self on the back.
But last night I turned it on. Watched as he entered and took the podium.

To me he had a smirk on his face. I read it as you people are so lucky to be here and to be able to hear me read from a teleprompter. And I also feel that he was also saying, Americans you are so dumb.
When he got to the statement that the problems facing this country were caused by Wall Street, I turned it off. He failed to mention Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, and the rest of the leftist gang that are really the ones who caused the current crisis. More lies. I was made as hell and couldn’t take it any more. So off went the TV.
As a 66 year old American taxpayer and voter, I would have been very proud if Obama had lived up to the “promise” as the first black President. But he hasn’t. That makes me sad. That makes me embarrassed, as I see the world laughing at the man who leads the greatest country in the World. He’s not qualified for the job.
