Great Weekend !
By Norm Seeley | January 25, 2010
Here it is the first of the week and I spent a little time thinking about the weekend. No big deal but it was a Happy one.
First, Saturday was our 11th Anniversary. Karen and I were married in San Diego. A couple days later we made the trip here to Scottsdale and live in the house I have been in for about 15 years. It’s nice to have Karen here, nice to share this house. It’s not big, but I just like the fact that she is here.
Saturday morning we went to the Prayer Room at our church. It’ always is a good thing to have others pray for you.
Saturday night, got to talk with my daughter Jenee and I always like talking with her. I am realizing more and more that even though she was taken away from me as a young girl, ( Long Story, not going there), she and I are very much alike. She’s prettier, but our personalities are very close.
Then early Sunday morning got a call from and got to talked to Jenee again. Learned things about her that I hadn’t known and I was glad to hear more about how she thinks and what she believes. Then off to church.
Karen needed a blanket cause it was cold as we drove to church, all of three blocks. Once at church, she decided it was too much, so I covered my legs. Finally I felt warm in church for the entire service.
This morning, I took my daily walk. As I started, I didn’t head toward the Stop Sign, but headed the opposite direction. Went to the end of our property on the sidewalk, turned 180 degrees and now headed toward the Stop Sign. Made it all the way, HIT it and back to the house. Once I was here, I again went to the end of the property on the East Side, turned around and then came inside. I know not much of a addition, but it’s a little and I will do it again tomorrow and then when I feel right, I will add more to my walk.
I think it’s helping.
Have to admit I am a blessed man.
Have a great Wife!
Have a great Daughter!
And live in a great country!
Now, if we can just get those on the left to stop screwing it up.
