Those in Washington are forgetting about the People.

By Norm Seeley | November 25, 2009

There is no question that those who we as Americans have elected to serve us in Washington have totally forgotten about us.

The first and only thing on their minds is themselves and their friends.

The health Care measure before the Senate right now is a very good example of that.

As a Senior, who has just become eligible for Medicare,  in the past year, I  find it very interesting that those in Washington are telling us that Medicare is going to fail in 7 years.  I want to know why.  Is it because we as taxpayers didn’t pay our fair share?  Is that the reason?   And they also make it clear that Social Security is in bad shape too.  Again, WHY?

Those in the Senate, lead by Harry Reid are now saying that the payments for Medicare will be used for other things, that doesn’t seem right.  Where is his head?

Did we American Taxpayers not pay into the Trust Fund each year.

I started working in 1960, and have paid each year I was employed until I was forced to retire in 2005.  Long story, boring.  But I paid each and every year I was employed.

Now who is going to pay for the new Health Care Proposals?

As for Medicare, I paid into that since 1966.

I want to know, why are they failing?  Simple question, but I have yet to hear a truthful reason.

I personally think that all of those in Washington, both on the left and on the right,  went to the Bernard Madoff school of financial planning prior to running for office.
