Norm’s Submarines!
By Norm Seeley | November 23, 2009
No, Norm’s Submarines were not YELLOW, but I would spend hours painting several plastic model Submarines so that I could go the the neighbor’s back yard and put them in the Fish Pond she had and see if I have painted them well enough that they could not be seen by the naked eye.
Actually, I was pretty good at matching the color of Norm’s Subs to the color of the bottom of that pond. When I would put the subs in the water, the Gold Fish, would stay away for a couple minutes, then I guess they would realize the subs were not dangerous and it was fun to watch them swim around my creations.

Thinking back, that pond and the fish would have benefited if there had been pond pumps there, circulating the water. It might have even helped to move the subs around the bottom of the pond. My hand reaching down in the water worked well enough but it kind of spoiled the effect I wished to achieve.
I wonder if it would be good therapy for me now to get hold or a Revell Model sub and put it together. Paint and all.

You DEFINITELY need some therapy, Norm. Maybe a large sailing ship model, like a clipper ship. Gee, 18 months of rigging the lines should make you loonier than the Speaker of the House… (ducking and running now).

I wonder when we will see the Speaker of the House visiting a Senior
Citizen Community without security or a Black SUV and driver. I love happy dreams.
