Next Stop, America?
By Norm Seeley | October 18, 2009
I think you need to read this article from the Wall Street Journal.
Is this the direction America is going since November?

I admire a man who can take responsibility for his words and actions.
Limbaugh is not that kind of person. He’s a blatant racist. And in typical racist fashion, he refuses to accept the fact that he has made racist remarks.
On January 19, 2007, Limbaugh stated: “Look it, let me put it to you this way. The NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There I said it.”
Why would the NFL want to hire such a man?
Why would anyone want to be part of his team?
Poor Rush – he sure likes to dish it out, but when he gets attacked (and deservedly so) for his racist comments, he cries and whines and tries to pretend he never made his reprehensible statements.
He should have taken the high road and apologized for his statements, but instead he chooses to act like he is the one who is victimized.
I have no respect for anyone like that.

And just who is there, (on the left) “who takes responsibility for his words and actions”?
Apparently there is a program that you and those on the left listen to with Rush, where he pretends that he never makes “reprehensible statements” and then there is the one that is aired across the nation. I listen to the latter, but not everyday, nor every hour that it’s on.
What is going on is just one more nail in the coffin of Free Speech and one more blatant attempt of the left to take full control of what is on the air.
Shameful!!

No one is denying Rush his right to free speech. He is allowed to say anything he wants, no matter how racist his statements are.
However, when he makes racist statements and then claims that he never made such statements, he is showing that he is not man enough to be responsible for his own words.
When he goes further and tries to claim that he is being denied a part of an NFL team because of a conspiracy against him rather than his own actions, then he has been exposed as totally dishonest.
It wasn’t Obama that denied him a part of the NFL. It wasn’t anyone stifling free speech that denied Limbaugh a role in the NFL.
Rather, just the opposite – it was the fact that Limbaugh DOES HAVE FREE SPEECH and utilized that freedom to make despicable statements that has caused him to not get a role in the NFL.
It was the NFL owners (a VERY conservative group) that realized Limbaugh would be a public relations nightmare. Why would they want a loud-mouthed racist as part of their organization?
When the Dixie Chicks came out against the Iraq war, the right wing radio stations stopped playing their tunes.
The right said they were un-American and that they were undermining the troops because they were attacking the president.
Now, we have Rush Limbaugh claiming he wants Obama to fail. Oh, the irony!

There is no question that the left has again started their attempt to control the media and remove the free speech that this country has enjoyed for 233 years. It’s coming if the Obama Administration has it’s way.
When was Obama even brought into this situation? I never heard one report and any outlet or on the internet linking him with Rush and the NFL. It was the likes of Sharpton. Another “great American”.
You personally should listen to Rush, and you will hear something totally different that what you are quoting. That’s what is so shame full about this whole situation. The left says they want free speech, but the truth is, they want only their thoughts to be presented any where.
Talk stations did not play the Dixie Chicks. And so what if “Right Wing Radio stations” stopped playing their records for attacking the president. Can you imagine what would happen if a recording group were to put out a song attacking Obama, they would be thrown in jail or shot.
If you look at what is being done by the Obama Administration, is Washington at it’s worst. They are hitting the American taxpayer with every thing they’ve got and you will soon see as your taxes go up, Social Security fails, Medicare goes down, the Private Sector is attacked again and again.
You didn’t answer my question, who on the left “takes responsibility for his words and actions”.
