More Out of the Past.

By Norm Seeley | July 20, 2009

One again, I’m living in the past.  And since I am, I want company.  So I am including an audio link that will take you back to the ABC FM Radio Network back in February 1975 and the program called Listen Closely with host Gil Fox.

I was able to  send what I did  up the line from ABC,  for listen Closely.

Then all most weekly I would get a call from Gil asking me if I had a story to send.  Sometimes, I hadn’t even thought about it but the call got me thinking and I would send another story.

As I think about it, maybe the checks from ABC each month motivated me just a little.  In those days, for me, it was good money.

What a great voice! Did anyone ever tell you that you have a voice for radio? (And a face for it too, I suppose. Ahem.)

Like a blast from the past, Norm. Neat!

If you were doing stories for Sheriff Joe, you’d be at it full time. But I like Joe and what he’s doing about enforcing our laws. If more sheriffs did what he is doing, we’d have a lot fewer problems with porous borders.

Yes I have been told that. I have also heard it from a little, but powerful voice from in my head…”DARN YOU HAVE SUCH A GREAT VOICE !”

It just might be a good idea to include stories, truthful stories about Sheriff Joe here, Lord knows he’s being attacted every day with half truths from the left.

As for the blasts from the bast, many are on cassettes and when they are rewound, the tape, is so dry, it pulls from the hub and no longer plays. With the proper tools, some glue, and someone with better eyesight than me, they could be fixed. But not right now.
