Norm on a Sunday Afternoon.
By Norm Seeley | June 28, 2009
This is the next to the last day of June for this year.
So far it’s been nice, have enjoyed spending it with my wife doing the things that we normally do on Sunday.
Now that I’m back in the house I have been working as I normally do on Sunday burning and printing a CD for a church in California. I do this almost every Sunday of the year. Keeps me out of trouble Sunday afternoon. At least that’s a plus for me.
I’m so do at doing this, and have been doing it so long, the “work” part of it comes like second nature to me and my mind really doesn’t have to concentrate on the actual work that I’m doing. It can wonder. Today it’s been thinking about the articles that I saw back in the early 50s. in Popular Science about trucks that were to be built with sleeping quarters, kitchens, bathrooms and the like to be used for “camping on the open road”. I think this was even before they were called RV.
Even as I finish the work on producing the master CD, I can remember in my minds eye, the picture of the vehicle with the driver and passenger sitting way up off the ground in the front. Looking almost like the front of a 747, a few years before it was even thought of on a drawing board.
