Back from the Stop Sign.
By Norm Seeley | June 6, 2009
Here it is a Saturday morning and I have just returned from my daily walk to the end of the block where I have decided I must hit the Stop Sign.

Just walking is good for a person and I have noticed that overall I feel a little better. The reason I say a “little better”, is because I have not been doing the daily walks very long, and right now it’s not a “long walk”, I am getting out and doing something.
If I continue doing this every day, it’s going to help also keep my weight down. Wednesday, at the Doctors office, I found that I had gained a full 6 pounds. Now that in itself is not a big deal, considering that I’m still way under the 345 pounds I had once been. But I need to continue to watch my weight. Like many Americans. It’s nice when you consider there are so many ways to control weight available, including using the best diet pills, exercise, just controlling what you eat and eating smart.
For me, the one thing that stands in the way of maintaining my weight is my love for Coke.
No, not the white stuff, but the stuff that comes in bottles.
Not diet Coke.
Not Cherry Coke.
Just good old original Coke.
As a kid, 6’4″ at 13, I always heard that I could eat and never gain weight. Will, that was true for many years, but when I hit about 24, I Gained Weight and it stayed with me until a couple years ago.
With this in mind, I don’t just drink one coke a day, it’s one right after another. If I could, I would start first thing in the morning and would continue until I went to bed.
Now that I think about it, I’d have a bottle sitting next to the bed in case I felt the urge during the night.
Love that stuff.
