We Went Back.
By Norm Seeley | August 7, 2008
Today, for lunch, Karen and I went back to Red Robin for lunch. The scene of my birthday party on Saturday August the 2nd. I thought that it would be nice to send a thank you note to the manager, Denis, and one to the crew. That’s what I did. I also wrote an email to the headquarters to let them know what a great operation they have in Tempe and what a great staff.
Both Karen and I had the same items we had on Saturday. While today it was not a celebration of any kind, the food still tasted as good. And yes, the people were just as nice as they were Saturday and even before that.

This year although it was a big number….I have reached 65, I didn’t get any presents. Don’t get me wrong, that is not what I think birthdays are for. Oh sure it would have been nice to get a TV lift cabinet for a new HD television. But the old tv we have works very nicely thank you.
I guess it really shows that I’m an old man, getting stuff is not paramount in my thinking prior to the 2nd, and even now after it has come and gone. I have had thoughts about how much fun we all had and how wonderful it is to have good friends.

MetroMOM,
Who knew??? GEEZ, Norm is a LEO, he had an Audio announcing his birthday for a full week before the event. Have you never dealt with LEOS? We do not have BIRTH DAYS….We have BIRTH MONTHS!!!
Lovey ya, Norm!

The truth is, I was attempting to remind myself that I was having a birthday…..but now that you bring it up, I like the idea about having Birth Months.
Any plans for let’s say the 15th???

What?
You didn’t get the HD camera I sent you for your birthday?
I better track that shipment and see what happened to it. (I paid for it with the 10 million dollars I won in the international email lottery, and with all that extra cash laying around, I said who needs an HD camera more than Norm?)
Okay, I just tracked it… it ended up in Scottsville, Kentucky. (Hey, to UPS that sounds just like Scottsdale AZ huh?) It was delivered to the Hind Lick Maneuver Center and signed for by Mr. Clem Kadiddlehopper.
Sorry, Norm. I guess it just wasn’t meant to be. I would send you another one, but I gave away the rest of my lottery winnings to the fund for needy politicians – my heart goes out to those unfortunate guys with a net worth of less than 5 million.
