My dear sweet wife came to me earlier this week and ask me…..NormB….she calls me that,
“Do you want to have a birthday partly on Saturday?”
I thought about it more than a moment, thinking that it would be super to send out party invitations and have a get together to celebrate turning 65.
So, I said yes!
I did some more thinking and came up with a short list of those who I would like to have attend.
She had also asked about where I would like to have it, and being cheap and understanding that if Obama is elected in November, Let’s Hope Not, and all of the taxes he wants will eat little people like us out of house and home, so I kept the number to just a few couples.
I also decided that we should go to the restaurant that had sent me a Free Birthday Burger coupon. (More about that on Saturday)
I got to thinking also that since I was the Birthday Boy, change that to Birthday Man, I should not be the one to do the inviting. It should come from Karen.
And that’s what has happened. She has been the one doing the inviting, I’m just sitting here dreaming of all the fun we’re going to have with all of our close friends with us on this eventful day.
I better not tell her about all the others out of state who I want to invite.
If I only owned an airplane.
Those of you in CA, Colo, MO, Fla, and Oregon get ready to be picked up.
Now that would be a PARTY.
