4th of July Fireworks!!
By Norm Seeley | July 4, 2008
Here is a video that I personally shot several years ago in San Diego California while visiting with KK’s family. That camera is long gone and I just happened to stumble on the video in my computer.
As I looked at the tape again of that night of fireworks, I couldn’t help but compare the exploding fireworks with weight loss pills , as they went off in ones’ stomach.
Now this might not be totally correct but when you think of it in a positive way, it’s makes it kind of fun to think about them.
As a kid growing up in Denver Colorado, although I loved to watch fireworks, I hated to be close to them because of all the noise. It was just too loud for me to handle. Now if we were watching from a distance, then there was no problem. But to be in a place where the fireworks were more or less going off just above us, with the ignition just a short distance away, that effected my ears. Big Time. So I made it clear to my parents, that going to Fireworks shows was not necessary or required to make me happy.
Today, the noise is not a problem at all. My Zounds Hearing aids are such that if I needed to, I could lower the volume, or if I really needed to, I could shut them down all together. So I could be with in inches of where the fireworks were shot into the air, and I wouldn’t mind a bit.
Happy 4th.
And, let’s not forget it’s Dixie’s Birthday!!

Love it. A much better view than we will get at our own local display!
