Fire Blocking out the Sun

There is a fire on the west side of the valley and it is having an effect over our house. Take a look below at the Sun from our driveway.
This next picture shows the houses across the street and the smoke in our sky, miles from the fire.
Last night when the TV was covered with live shots from the Fire itself, I couldn’t help but wonder what would happen here, in Scottsdale should a fire come near. Scary. (By the way, these pictures were take at about 3:30 PM on 6/26/08.)
