I lost it!

By Norm Seeley | May 16, 2008

Several weeks ago, we needed to transfer some data from one computer to another and even though they are linked within the house to each other, we decided that we use a device that’s one of those usb flash drives

First we found the information on KK’s computer and plugged the device in and wow before you knew it, it was loaded and ready to be unplugged and taken to where ever.

That’s what we did. I walked down the hall, plugged it into the computer of mine that we need the information in and pushed a button. And just like when we put the data in the device, it was in my computer in just a second or two. Truly amazing.

I unplugged the device. A couple weeks went by and KK asked me to bring here the device as she needed it for something. “Sure, let me get it. ” I said. OH Sure, where had I put it?

I looked every where in my office, which KK now refers to as the Black Hole.

I didn’t see it anywhere. I opened drawers, opened the closet, checked in boxes that hadn’t been opened in months. It was no where to be found. After about an hour, I gave up.

KK worked around using it, and we started talking about buying a new one. But the next day, it was out of our minds. We no longer thought about it.

Then about five day’s later, I was attempting to do something around my computers and I move some stuff in the back. There it was. It was on my desk, couldn’t have been more than 2 feet from my nose. Not more than two feet from my eyes. I missed it each day for close to a full week. I missed it every single time I looked for it.

Now, I for one believe that there is really a living being inside and it was playing a game with me. The game of hide and seek.
