Here I go again.

By Norm Seeley | May 9, 2008

Today it’s the 9th, not even a month has gone by and here I am thinking about the wonderful day when I came into the world. Had there been HD video in those days, and remote radio had been more advanced, I’m sure most of the world, at least the part that had running water and electricity , would have been able to listen to or watch live broadcasts from outside the Greenwich Hospital where I was born. Considering who my family had connections with, the birth would would have at least had a way for the reporters to tie it in with Big Business there in the East. If you watchers to normradio.com only knew my roots. Or semi roots, if you get down to the truth. LONG STORY.

I guess I should start what’s going to happen on that day. There was a very small party last year when the norm bobble head doll and Denny Crane came to live with KK and I. Tracy was there and she was forced to take pictures. It was a nice lunch though.

I suppose that I should plan to celebrate with a lunch at one of my favorite places to eat here in Scottsdale. Now I remember one of the first years that KK and I were together, I throw a party for her at a Phoenix spot, had birthday invitations, and a lot of people showed up to her surprise. Back then it was a spot that she and I used to go to at least once a week. The staff, almost every one of them, knew us by our first names. The party turned out to be a pretty good one, a couple of the people I invited surprised KK and she was very glad that they came.

Planning such a thing for one’s self, in my mind is not really something I want to do. I’m more of a spend the time with her type of guy. I also would be a tad on the embarrassed side to call people and say I’m hold a birthday party for myself. Talk about EGO.

Now I know that there are some of you out there who might think I have that kind of EGO, but it ain’t true. Doing it for someone else. You Bet. My self? I’ll pass.
