Lazy Week - Part Two
By Norm Seeley | May 2, 2008
In a recent blog I mentioned that I had really had a Lazy week. Hadn’t spent any time or very little time on normradio.com. The fact is that I have several Friday’s Musics recorded and all ready uploaded to the internet. On the day, a Friday, that they are to air, they will do so. I don’t have to do a thing.
As to other daily blogs, I have had some thoughts that I might have written about or recorded a podcast, but decided not to for one reason or another. One of the first is that of being Lazy.
Lately I have been taking still pictures when ever I leave the house. I have a nice camera that I’ve had for a couple of months with 6.0 Mega Pixels along with an older but smaller one with around 3.0 Mega Pixels. That one is small and can fit in my pants pocket. The other one, I need to use a strap and put it around my neck. For work on the internet, both work pretty well.
There are days when out, that you would think I’m a tourist visiting the Valley of the Sun. Camera hanging off my neck and snapping shots one after another. Several times when I have downloaded my pictures to the computer, the number of shots is 150, 187, 111. Man, all I do is take pictures.
“Sir, could you move, you’re in my shot.”
The local newspaper has started a section where here in Scottsdale, they ask for readers to send in pictures and I have been doing that. Don’t for one minute think that it’s a money making deal. Fat Chance, it’s send them in for free. It is kinda funny though that for the two or three weeks that I have been sending them in to their website, my pictures dominate the Scottsdale section.
That tells me one of two things.
1. I do great work!!!
2. I’m the only one who sends picture after picture in.
OH WELL, it’s fun, and I have to tell you I like seeing my pictures where other people can see them too. Almost like having a Statewide, worldwide Picture Frames for all of my shots here in Scottsdale.
Growing up in Denver and during High School I use to shoot stills and also 8 MM film and made a little money doing it. That little money really just covered the cost of the film and processing. But it was again fun. I took pictures of the interiors of houses in the neighborhood, and used to film the football games at Graland Country Day School and those films were used to improve on the performance of the players.

Oh to have my Bolex again.
