Cadillac Ranch - Tempe Arizona
By Norm Seeley | May 2, 2008

Today, Friday May 2nd, the wife and I went to Cadillac Ranch in Tempe, just across the Salt River for lunch. It’s the second time that we have been there. Their Chili, has little meat and is more like a soup. Now it’s not nice to just complain, so I like their fries. They taste like potatoes and taste very good. And let’s not forget to let you know that their Cadillac Burger isn’t bad either. It has a good flavor and is a 1/2 a pound. There is plenty for two people to share and both walk away full. Even if you split the fries, you would not be unhappy. The location in Tempe is on the second floor. KK and I did not use the stairs. We found the sole elevator and had we not done that, we would not have been able to have lunch. I find it very difficult to carry KK’s wheelchair up stairs by myself. Another thing, handicapped parking is not close by. Parking for anyone is not close by. One draw back, I guess, in front of the Cadillac Ranch, there on the second floor sits a red Cadillac. Not being quite that tall, I didn’t see what year it was, but it had to be from the late 50s or early 60s. When Cadillacs were Cadillacs. It’s kind of neat to be able to look up and see it just sitting there. Even today, old, not able to move, it still has motion there in it’s fins. Cadillacs were know for their “fins”. One doesn’t forget Cadillac Grills , either. Not back then, not today.
I owned a couple, including a convertible right here in Phoenix.
