Jobs
By Norm Seeley | March 21, 2008

Over the years, I have had several friends who were in commercial real estate. I have known a few pilots, Highway Patrolmen, Recording Artists, City Employees, Attorneys, Doctors….and the list could go on.
Although I did know a few, I left out for obvious reasons Politicians.
What have I done?
Broadcaster.
That covers a lot of areas, radio announcer (DJ), radio News Director, Program Director, and in TV, a booth announcer, news reporter and news anchor.
I have owned a Wheelchair Van Rental firm, and recently a video production company.
In my 64+ years, I have never worked in a restaurant, although I did wash dishes during high school when I went away to school. That was a non paying job. Get my drift?
I almost forgot, I worked as a sales person selling two way radios and then cellular phones after leaving broadcasting in Las Vegas and also in Florida.
I enjoyed selling, and was good at it.
That reminds me I did sell radio time for a very short time. I could tell you a funny story, but I would have to leave out too many names and that would make it down right boring. Better not go that direction. Although…..No don’t get me started.
I liked going to work.
I always worked 6 days a week, never even thought there was any other schedule available. Never considered a 4 day week. Again as I write this, I did demand a 5 day week when I worked as a Program Director in radio. There was also a funny story about how that ended….but again, would have to leave out too many names and it would then become boring. Oh well, I can sit here and personally giggle my little head off. I know that’s rude.
I’ve said enough. Have a great day!!
