Red English Bike and Me.
By Norm Seeley | February 16, 2008
I guess it’s my age, when I should be thinking of exercise equipment , I seem to think a lot or have something happen to me or see something that gets me thinking about items or events in my life. In my case, long, long, ago.
One in particular, my Red English Bike.

Not red, but it gives you the idea.
The English Bike was when I was in Denver, in my teens, so now you know that was a long, long time ago. Not quite in a Distance land, far, far away, but I digress. I would ride that red bike every where in Denver. Around the neighborhood, to Cherry Creek (Local Shopping Mall), to Downtown, it didn’t matter, I just loved to ride it.
It was always ready to take me where ever I wanted to go, and back.
I continued my feelings towards riding that bike even after making a fast turn into gravel next to Graland Country Day School, where I went to school at one time many years earlier and where my Mom worked, and having the bike come out from under me, sending me face first into that gravel, finally coming to a stop in a big heap. Even then I was big. A trip to the ER, several stitches under my eyebrow, and I was good as new and ready to ride again. And that I did.
I had that bike for at least 8 or 9 years, until I got the Chevy Corvair. Then it was left in the garage, until I sadly sold it.
There are sometimes I think it would have been nice if I had kept that bike, so even now I could ride it through my life. It was so simple then, and so much fun.
