Today’s Sermon
By Norm Seeley | January 27, 2008

At Church today, click here to listen to the full sermon, listed under Jan 27th, E3 Scottsdale. Pastor Mark Einersen brought up some very interesting thoughts about our responsibilities while we’re here on earth.
While listening and thinking how it would apply to my life, I couldn’t help but think how it should apply to all of the candidates currently running for President, and really if you get down to it, every single candidate running for any Political office.
It’s simply this:
STEWARDSHIP IS PROTECTING AND GROWING THE OWNER’S ASSETS WITH FIERCE INTENSITY.
Think about that and this. America is ours, just as much as it’s theirs. The money that you and I pay in as taxes is America’s money, not theirs. They have been given the responsibility for it, by you and I. It has not just been given to them.
If you get the opportunity to talk with or ask a question of the current candidates for President, ask one question about proposed Healthcare: ” Will the healthcare you are proposing, be the same as what you and the others in the House and Senate are covered under, and will it benefit every American and not hurt the country?”
Like any good reporter, you should already know the answer.
If they’re honest, the answer will be NO.
If they’re not honest, be ready to watch and listen to a long song and dance.
Then, go back to the line quoted from Pastor Mark above.
Then, with their answer in mind, and Mark’s quote, you might want to reconsider your vote in the remaining Primaries and in next Novembers General.
Those are my thoughts from here in the Desert, I’m Norm Seeley.
