Let’s Do it Ourselves!!!

This afternoon, Karen and I went down to Chaparral Park, which isn’t that far from our house and wandered through a new section that features desert plants. It’s right next to a water treatment plant and an area to exercise one’s dog. You can see part of the plant behind Karen and I.
Now, to be honest, one of the reasons we went over there was to take some pictures.
It’s been a few years sent we sat down in a studio and had pictures taken. So in the spirit of being green, saving money, and all that….we thought we’d take the pictures ourselves with a digital camera, wouldn’t have to use all those lights in a professional studio, nor use film, just download the pictures to the computer and it would be done.
Should I tell you about the pictures I took,in which I cut my head off? Not one but several No I better not do that. Must have been a faulty tripod. Couldn’t have been me.
Should I tell you about the late afternoon sun filling the picture from behind.
Should I tell you about the shadows covering the right side of our faces.
Why would I do that.
Anyway, besides getting winded walking over to the area we wanted to get to, we had some fun, and have decided to go back early one morning when the sun will be more cooperative, and it might be a bit early for shadows. Then, we’ll be able to get the shots we want!
Oh, I just can’t wait!!

Since I could see no “body” I would have guessed the head was gone also!
