Memories from KENO, Las Vegas.
By Norm Seeley | October 9, 2007

That’s me, Norm Seeley with the microphone in the above SUNphoto by Stan Clawson is taken from the front Page of the Las Vegas Sun newspaper of March 24, 1976.
The caption read in part: “Woman culinary striker resists Metro police efforts to haul her to jail Tuesday after a demonstration outside Caesar’s Palace.”
If you look to the right side of the picture, there is a “long Haired” man there and you can see that he’s holding a microphone to record what is being said. That man….as if you didn’t know is ME.
Sorry, I don’t have a clue as to if anything I recorded that day ever made it on the air. But I had fun being out there, Covering the news.
I still have the microphone and the Sony recorder that it was connected to it. The microphone is used several times a week.
The recorder hasn’t been used for years, but still looks though it could work, just needs to be pulled from the shelf. Kind of like me….just pull me from the shelf.
I still work.
