One Year Ago 4/22/06

By Norm Seeley | April 22, 2007

gates-board.jpgHard to believe but on 4/22/06 I started this blog.

The name was RCA77A, after a mic that I loved to use when on the air.  Several of the stations I worked at had them.  KRUX, KOOL AM and FM here in the Phoenix Area. The newsroom at KENO in Las Vegas had one.  Just a great mic.  Wish I had one today.

The blog is now, normradio.com and I  podcast when I can using  a new mixer along with an ElectoVoice RE-35 mic  that has been with me since Las Vegas, it’s older, I’m older, but we both still work.

A big thank you to those of you who have stopped by.  And to those who keep stopping by, I’m thankful for you!!!

Shall we go for 12 more?

Has it really been a whole year already? I think it’s great that you’re blogging and podcasting. It’s fun to hear what you have to say because you have such a great voice for saying it.

    Norm,

Glad to see Karen is back home. Hospitals are just not a fun place to be. I bet you are both happy to be in your home again!

Regarding your microphones… I just want to correct your grammar (if you don’t mind!).

Somebody, somewhere, (if they were delusional enough) might say that I am a great MIKE.

The RCA77A was a great MIC.

And, oh yeah, go for another 12 years!

Norm, so glad Karen’s home, you sounded a litte miserable whe she was in the hospital. Hope she is feeling better and on the mend.

Kris, I saw her every day. Got up early, was at the hospital with her in the room, came home for an hour or so in the afternoon then back to be with her.

It just wasn’t the same thing. We were together, I helped take care of her, they feed me, didn’t pay me though, but it really was nice when she came home.

She is doing better, even looks rosier. I have even noticed that she has more color in her face. I guess over time the change in her color was just one of those things I got used to.

Through all of last week, she always had a great big KAREN SMILE for me. Made it worth it.
