One look in her eyes, and you knew that Karen was in pain. The desk pushing down on her crossed left leg had done something to that leg as well as affecting her right knee and both ankles. 
We’re not far from a hospital in Scottsdale.
I did not drive wildly though, it was as slow as possible so that Karen in her wheelchair would not be tossed around. Karen by herself can’t compensate for quick movements. That’s why the trip took about 10 minutes.
In the ER a nurse was with Karen in Minutes, checking vitals, we were in the ER itself within 5 minutes and another nurse. It took no longer than 10 minutes for a Doctor to take a look and order x-rays. It was less than 10 minutes more and we were rolling down the ER hallway to the x ray room….
