Had it been an Actual Emergency.

By Norm Seeley | March 9, 2007

lvftrick.jpgI can’t tell you how many years it has been since it was I who recorded the EBS test up in Las Vegas.  I know that tape had to be around for at least 5 years after I had left the station.  But there I was or at least my voice was once a week, saying:

“This is a test of the Emergency Broadcast System.  The broadcaster of this area in voluntary cooperation with Federal, State and Local authorities have developed this system to keep you informed in the event of an emergency.  If this had been an actural Emergency, the Attention Signal you just heard would have been followed by official information, news or instructions. This station serves the Las Vegas Nevada area.  This concludes this test of the Emergency Broadcast System.  ”

Now you must see why I can’t talk about football, baseball, or remember bible scriptures, my head is filled with stuff like that.  Get me any where near a microphone and it’s the first thing out of my mouth.  Thankfully I don’t remember all the commercials I had to read.

Considering, I’m blessed that I can still remember what Karen looks like, and who she is.    “Please, don’t take that from me.   You can have my love for Coke, you can take back the EBS test…just let me always know Karen.”

With, silly time and temp thoughts in my mind, in Scottsdale, Norm Seeley.

This is the one I can’t get out of my head since I was in the second grade:

“Crest has been shown to be an effective decay-preventative dentrifice that can be of significant value when used in a conscientiously applied program of oral hygiene and regular dental care.”

    I wish I could remember what I did yesterday…
