Are they “Stars?”

By Norm Seeley | January 2, 2007

Karen and I like to eat lunch out, first of all I am not a great cook, although I like my cooking.  Karen  doesn’t thus we eat out a lot.  One of our favorite places here in Scottsdale is the Pink Taco, which at Camelback and Scottsdale Roads, is across from Scottsdale Fashion Square.  Now do you know where it is?
We got there around 2 in the afternoon, we normally eat late.  When I opened the door for Karen, it didn’t take much to realize they had people waiting for tables.  Big time.  The hostess said it could be at least 15 minutes, maybe more.  Karen, who was very hungry said lets not wait, so we thanked the hostess and left.  We didn’t get ten feet from the door when I had a hand on my shoulder.  It was Jeff the manager, “Norm, come on back, we’ll get you a table”.  You have to understand, usually it’s Karen and I who wait to be seated.  There is something about a couple where one is in a wheelchair that slows that process down.  Not however at the Pink Taco, Scottsdale
It was easy to see on the faces of several who were waiting, they were wondering “Who are they?”  “Why are they being seated? We’ve been here twenty minutes”  “What’s the deal?  I loved it.  NO, I LOVED IT!!!
I always like the food there, but I don’t know if it was because we got the “star treatment” that it was even better than usual.  Come to Scottsdale, and go to the PINK TACO, Scottsdale….see what I mean.  Those are my non-hungry thoughts from Scottsdale, Norm Seeley.
