Car Watching….for days.

Last Night marked the first time in three nights that I have slept in my own bedroom. Now, I have slept in my own bed, but the bed was not in the bedroom. It was in the Dinning Room. That’s right, in the Dinning Room, in fact other than a single wicker chair; there was nothing else in the room, nor in the house for that matter. All the furniture was on the patio, glad it didn’t rain while the carpet that had seen its day was torn out and a new vinyl tile was put down. Taking out the carpet was not easy, a lot of work….ripping up the black and white tile that had been found under the carpet in the living, dinning rooms and hallway wasn’t easy either….and then preparing the concrete, that wasn’t a picnic. What we were told would be maybe a 1 and ½ day job turned into 3 full days and they are coming back in the morning to do some final adjustments where the new vinyl meets the tile from the kitchen and bathrooms. Have you ever sat in the driveway of your house in your favorite chair watching the cars go by and go by…..I have…..for three days…..Those are just my thoughts from Scottsdale, Norm Seeley. P.S. Should I not be able to post another blog between now and Christmas, please have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Norm. . . .
Just a note to let you know how much I’ve appreciated you and your lovely bride’s posts over the past several months, as well as the work she has done for me. How did a lout like you wound up with such a classy gal!?!?!?! My only complaint is that you two don’t write enough!!
It’s fortunate that you had the good weather like you have had for your floor work. We’ve had 80 mph winds, ice storms, and crashing fir trees up here in the Northwest while you have been basking in the sun!!
May your Holidays be Happy and Holy Days as we celebrate the arrival of the One that wise men still seek.

Merry Christmas, Norm. Let’s do lunch again after the holidays. When Karen gets back lets do Charlestons again.

Ben, thank you for the nice words. For the most part I like blogging, there are however days when I don’t. I know that I too like reading Karen’s blog. I am hearing funny noises in the house. It’s been going on all afternoon. By the way, Lout when you refer to me is all caps. How I did it. The Lord loves me, it was nothing I did.
Ken, you have great ideas, anything with food in it for me is a great idea. The sure way to get me to cover a news conference back in the old days, was to serve food…or just have lunch. That would get me out, every time.
Both of you have a Merry Christmas. Remember it’s his doing, not ours. One great thing about sitting in ones” driveway for three days, you get to talk with God and thank him for all that he does day after day. Those are my thoughts from Scottsdale, Norm Seeley.
