It is I, the PERSON OF THE YEAR!
By Norm Seeley | December 19, 2006
I have to thank the editors of Time Magazine for naming me as the Person of the Year, for my control of the information age. Maybe I should thank them for their lack of work. But, then again, I should be humble, and just walk up to the mike, thank my parents….both of them one male, one female, my teachers, fellow workers in the radio business years ago, the builders of my computer, and those at Qwest who supply the connection to the internet, so that I can control the information age, right here from near downtown Scottsdale.
What? Say that again…… IT’S NOT ME?
IT’S YOU? Well, I never….I’m going to take back my thank you s. Those are my thoughts from Sunny Scottsdale, Norm Seeley.![]()

Did someone say “walk up to the mike”?
Thank you for giving me that special consideration. The word “the” denotes singularity… as in uniqueness. After all you did not say walk up to any mike, no, you said THE mike. I am guessing that you were referring to me, just like Time Magazine was obviously referring to YOU.
Merry Christmas to you and Karen!

Please do not be hurt “Mike”….I was thinking of a “Shure or EV” mike when I said Mike…..not you or any other mike. I was thinking of a large gathering of people and the lazy editors of Time were introducing me to them, and I was going to tell them through a PA system, about who I should thank. I guess really I should thank you to, and of course wish you and your family a Merry Christmas.
